The LeadCap Way - How Would We Achieve Our Vision? LeadCap is a movement to empower every individual, helping them to make the leadership decision. LeadCap believes that this would soon create a parallel to the American Dream, where every Indian would be empowered to take up the leadership mantle, in whatever ways, in which ever spheres, transforming the world's largest democracy to the first leadership democracy.
@ Teaching how to fish is better than providing fish: Helping marginalized individuals discover their true potential would help them more in the longer term than any other aid. This way they would help themselves, as well as the society @ Leadership is a decision, not a position: Individuals who emerged as some of the greatest leaders had nothing extraordinary about them. Anyone could be a leader irrespective or birth or living conditions, if willing to decide @ Leaders breed more leaders: More individuals would embrace the leadership mantle, if they are made aware that leadership is a decision. Hence, true leaders are those who nurture more leaders, not followers Innovative Activities "Leaders are those individuals who have found their voice, in a cause that they believe in" 1. Two kinds of spokes to spread faster: @ New Spokes: These could be started up by individuals or by organizations/educational institutions aligning to the cause of LeadCap. @ Existing organizations/clubs: Helping them get on to the next level by associating with the vision of LeadCap. They are allowed to keep their existing organization structure, while benefiting from LeadCap branding, mentoring, media and networks. @ In both the cases there are some broad guidelines and activities to choose from, and leaders to handhold. The focus is on empowering more leaders, the only parameter on which the success of spokes are measured.
